In response to news stories emerging in the past few hours, Juventus Football Club S.p.A confirms that the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne has today issued an arbitration award on the claim brought by Chelsea F.C. against Juventus in regard to the registration of Adrian Mutu. The arbitration award has wholly rejected the demands brought by Chelsea F.C., ordering it to pay the legal fees for the case.
This decision has no financial bearing on Juventus Football Club S.p.A, given that the club – aware that it has always been in the right – did not need to make recourse to the risk provision fund set up for ongoing disputes.
