ROME – The Supreme Court annulled the “Gea sentence” which concerned Luciano Moggi and his son Alessandro condemned by the Court of Appeals for the crime of criminal coercion to the alleged pressures for the acquisition of sports attorney rights. Moggi, the father was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment, his son at 5 months. The charges were based on the procedures that led the midfielder Manuele Blasi to abandon the Agent Stefano Antonelli to switch to Gea.
Same goes for Alessandro Moggi, who was the president of Gea, but in relation to the acquisitions powers as Agent of the Russians Zetulayev and Boudianski. Now the ruling, which had excluded the crime of association, was annulled by the Supreme Court. It is, in short, to drop a very important piece of Calciopoli, if we want the seed from which everything was born, the infamous “Roman clique” of referees who were close to the world Gea.
