Yes, I still have it… don’t worry I will score also in Serie A
Antonio Conte has expressed his satisfaction at his side’s performance in the 7-1 win over Al Hilal, viewing the friendly as a constructive exercise ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Lecce: “It was a simple workout. They opted for a team made up of their reserves. I would have preferred to play against the first choice players, but the game was still useful in order to get back to our championship way of thinking.”

The 42-year-old took the opportunity to cast his eye over certain individuals in different positions, and was impressed with what he saw: “I liked the application with which we read the game. They all played forty-five minutes, adapting well to their own roles, despite the fact we tried certain different options, such as Estigarribia at left-back and Pepe as an inside midfielder. However, it will be different on Sunday in Lecce.”

Conte ended by championing the success of the club’s mid-season training camp, believing it could serve as another motivation for the Bianconeri to maintain their unbeaten run: “We’ve worked hard and we’ve managed to keep to the program we came up with. And then we’ve seen ourselves surrounded by so much affection. Tonight at the stadium the fans even sang the chants that we usually hear in Italy. This must make us aware that Juve are loved all over the world. It needs to be an added incentive for us to give our maximum in every game – starting from Sunday.”
