It’s a disappointed and saddened Axel Witsel
Interviewed by the Belgian portal “rtbf.be” comments the failure to move to Juventus in the last day of the transfer market, resulting in staying with the Russians of Zenit until end of season:
“It ‘s really hard for me. I must thank Juventus until the end because they did everything for me. It’ a shame because Zenit refused 25 million euro, when they know that I have only one year of the contract.
I’m disappointed because I was sent to Turin to do the medical tests, I passed the test and I thought already to my new adventure. But these are things that happen in football, I can not stand here and get depressed, that’s life. My destiny was to play in Juventus, but for this year nothing is done, we will see next year.
Agreement for the next season? No not yet. I have a contract to be respected and I have to stay focused, then when my contract ends we will see what will be my future. “
