Future is the main topic, especially of the new Juventus who tomorrow will move their first steps in Bardonecchia. However, during the event to present the new shirts, the attention focused on other matters as well, such as the past and the present of the club.

From Calciopoli to the petition submitted to the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office about the 2006 title. President Andrea Agnelli expressed the club’s opinion. The most significant passages are as follows.

Player’s calmness
During the last days, we experienced the end of the second judicial inquiry thread concerning the know events occurred in 2006. A calm atmosphere reigns at Juventus, the same mood shown here by Del Piero and Buffon, those who were on the pitch and won those two titles achieving 91 points. No other word is needed.

The turning point in 2010
The issue started on 28th April 2010, following Exor share holders’ meeting, when John Elkann made two announcements. He promised a company change with the arrival of new managers and the submission, by the club, of the petition for the revocation of the title 2005/06 assigned to Inter. A petition relying on the simple principle of treatment equality. Unclear behaviours
The petition in 2006 filed by Guido Rossi provided for, in case of sanctions which resulted in table modifications, the automatic allocation of the title to the first team without sanctions charged. However, an important matter was the possibility of intervention by the federal bodies through a specific provision in order to not award the title due to reasons concerning the sports ethic, such as for example unclear behaviours shown by different unpunished teams. Those unclear behaviours were then also found in the grounds introduced in the petition by Palazzi, which was thoroughly discussed in the last days. The judicial step should take place, but the offences are now prescribed.

Treatment equality
We suspect that the decision will be a “non-decision”, and this will be the worst conduct in the current condition of Italian football. We asked for treatment equality as Juventus. And in the light of Palazzi’s reasons, something unclear is emerging.

We deserve respect
After 15 months from the petition submitted to FIGC, I want respect from the authorities, towards Juventus, their managers, players and fans. This club participated in the history of Italian football and of Italian football in the world. This team provided for 27 players out of 44 in the four World Cup finals.

We’re waiting for decisions
In 2006 we were the only club to suffer from serious economical damages, discernible in various hundreds of millions of Euros. Now we noticed that the other clubs, especially Inter, had unclear behaviours. We’re waiting for the decisions and then we’ll see. We’ve always respected the sports law, but we also have the suitable means to differently operate, even if we don’t want to do it by now. As far as the sports law is concerned, our oppositions will come to an end if the title will be taken away from Inter. However, the ordinary law proceedings are still ongoing and we’ll see which will be their end.

Reallocation of the two titles
We’ll possibly evaluate to follow another path for the reallocation of the two titles taken. However, the right conditions in which our club’s behaviours are ascertained in the considered period are required.

The future on the pitch
We’re arranging a great team. In the meantime, we signed Pirlo who is one of the best midfielders in the world. He’s able to give us a special drive, both from the technical and from the mental point of view. We’re looking for top players, we don’t want to attend auditions, but purchase them paying the right price. There will be some operations more, the best one occurred at the end of August last year. We’ve time enough, we like several players but we want to set our terms.

A victory to square the circle
We’d like to return to winning ways, especially to achieve the title, in order to finally square the circle. I’m convinced that our new stadium will help us very much, it will give us a new spur.
